Spelling
Something that seems to get dramatically worse over the summer holidays is students’ ability to spell. Over the long vacation parts of the brain appear to go dormant, and it can be rather a wrench to start school again in September and pick up where you left off in July. So that the new term doesn’t cause such a shock to the system, make sure you do a little bit of work over the holidays now and then, just to keep things ticking over.
Below is a list of some of the most commonly misspelled words. Why not try testing yourself on just a few every day, then by September you will be in excellent form.
I’ve also included a few questions at the bottom, which you should also try in order to keep your brain in gear.
