“Education, Education, Education!”
“Education, Education, Education” was Labour’s famous slogan during their 1997 campaign. Sadly these promises failed to deliver over their proceeding 13 years in power. Now it’s time to put our children’s education at the centre of the raging election debate. We need to address the issues of the schooling system per se and make sure that our local schools are good schools that we’d be happy to send our children to. One of the clear ways is to improve the level of teaching itself by recruiting better teachers and this does seem to be a high priority on a number of political education agendas.
