Private tuition at home and abroad
This April, EE sent me to Florence to tutor two girls, aged 10 and 8, during their Easter holidays. I loved it! Slightly daunting at the start – turning up to stay with a family I didn’t know, but the children were such fun and the parents were very welcoming. I either spent the rest of the day with the family or went sightseeing around the city. Benedetta gave me tips about what to see and all the gems which are not on the tourist trail.
The girls came on in leaps and bounds! It’s amazing how much improvement you can make from one to one help. Four hours of tuition a day meant I could make a structured programme and I could really see the progress that the children made over the two weeks, especially Anna who’s taking her 11+ next year. It was really fulfilling and exciting! It’s great to put on your tutor hat for four hours and then help the children with cultural trips to galleries and exhibitions. Going back this summer to the Amalfi coast!
