Kate Shand founded Enjoy Education in 2006 and has worked with hundreds of families with children of all ages and abilities. Passionate about educational reform, Kate founded Enjoy Education with the belief that a bespoke education has the power to transform lives, producing happy, confident, life-long learners.
A founding member and former vice president of The Tutors’ Association, an industry-led initiative which seeks to promote best practice in tutoring, Kate continues to drive the industry to higher standards. In 2013, she was chosen to join Prime Minister, David Cameron, on trade delegation to China where she represented the UK’s education sector, launching Enjoy Education’s virtual online platform.
Kate’s success as an entrepreneur has been recognised worldwide. She was voted onto Management Today’s 35 Women under 35, has featured in the Young Guns elite list of outstanding self-starters, chosen as one of BBC’s 100 Women and was nominated as one of four women for Women of the Future, Entrepreneur Awards. In 2015, Kate featured as one of Brasenose College’s, Women of the Century as part of their 40th Anniversary as a co-educational college.
Under Kate’s guidance, Enjoy Education’s has been recognised for a number of awards, winning the Education Investor Awards in 2013 and 2015, shortlisted for the Relocate Awards in 2016 and featured in Spears 500 in 2015 and 2016.
Kate also sits on the committee for the Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts, an organisation which helps disadvantaged children gain access to art and culture.
